Banned Picture Books 2026

I wasn’t going to write about picture books for Banned Books week. Instead, I quietly chose some for our Bookshop site—and we have a TON for our pop-up mobile bookstore. But then I thought about how many people hear about banned book week and immediately think of 1984 or other classic novels. Most people don’t realize that there are MANY picture books being banned as well.
