National Doctors' Day 2018

Happy Doctors' Day!  This year I decided to send thank you notes to our own personal doctors for all the care they have given to me and my family.  I feel lucky to have had such great physicians. 

Last year, I talked about how my love for writing intertwined with my love for being a pediatrician. And earlier this year on National Women Physicians' Day (the second annual one!), I emphasized my gratitude to the families who I have the privilege of caring for. I am still so very grateful.

And to those of you aspiring doctors and medical students, on this Doctors' Day, I hope you retain all the compassion and care for other people that your idealistic heart currently holds.  There will be many challenges and I have no doubt that that you're up to the task.
