Mother's Day 2020

Mother’s Day is coming up. We’ve planned stuff for my mom. And we always go to the cemetery on Mother’s Day….except it’s closed this year. On what is usually the BUSIEST day of the year, the cemetery is closed. In fact, because of quarantine, the cemetery is closed on the weekends and only open until 230pm on weekdays. You know, too late for us to go because the girls are still in school.

So we’re going to do what parents all over the world do, improvise and problem solve. We’re pulling Little Lion early from distance learning classes and we are headed over to visit Macy and my Lola and Lolo at the cemetery. We’ll (hopefully) have some flowers that we can bring from our garden. If not, we have tons of swiss chard and grapevine leaves. LOL

But I’m hoping that the small farm and flower stand that is near the cemetery will be open.

Wish me luck. Because like most things about being a mom, Mother’s Day is about my children. (And my own mom and Lola.)
