The Books We Donated for Banned Books Week
These books were Jelly Bean approved. But even if they weren’t, we still would have donated them. Our teen’s school has a read-a-thon fundraiser for their conservatory that always coincides with Banned Books Week. They vote on a banned book to be read and people donated per page read, plus they watch the film afterward. This year’s book was The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.
We hope these books went to happy teens, who have the freedom to read what they want to.
