Happy birthday, our little Macy Button. We miss you.

We miss you every day. We miss what your smile and laughter might have been like. Little Lion likes to chortle and Mini Me has a cackle, each sound filled with joy. Each sound triggering a smile or laugh of our own.

And I wonder what your laugh would be like, more like your older or your younger sister? Or one beautiful sound of your own?

I wonder where I would have sent you to school with special needs, I wonder how you would have done with distance learning, I wonder what arts and crafts projects you would love to do. I wonder which book you’d make me read over and over and over again.

What I don’t wonder?

I don’t wonder about love. I know you knew you were loved. And I know that one day I’ll hear your laugh.
